Our Story
What started as just an idea in 2014 among a small group of friends and family has now become an organization of like-minded "doers" across the East Coast. Founded in Huntington, WV, at the time one of, if not the worst, cities in the country for depression, obesity, and drug overdoses, it simultaneously won America's Best Community award in 2017. How is that possible, you ask? Simply because more people cared about the prosperity of Huntington than those who were at its mercy. To quote Charles Dickens: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." We felt that. Whether we mourned or celebrated, The Do-Gooders were there together. From trash pickup and disaster relief to food fairs and fashion shows, The Do-Gooders are a needs-based group here to serve our community. We've since relocated to the Carolinas, picking up right where we left off in West Virginia. Be a part of a group that wants to leave a lasting impact and legacy in the communities it serves
