Chaunte McDowell
Treasurer
My name is Chaunte McDowell and I am a software engineer for The Hartford. I have been part of the DoGooders since the group originally started as a small committee of family and friends in Huntington, WV. I want to encourage our youth to come together in taking care of the people in their communities, including the less fortunate, the sick, and those who don’t have the support to successfully thrive on their own. I want my daughter to understand the importance of being kind, loving, and understanding. If we want to make changes in our community, we must step up and do the work needed to make an impact!

Elizabeth McDowell
Board Member
My name is Elizabeth McDowell. I have had the honor to serve in the DoGooder organization since it's conception. What began as my Son's
vision quickly grew into a family mission. I have been blessed throughout the years to watch my children and their friends help those in need. Whether
it be assisting the homeless, cancer survivors, or bringing mental health awareness, we strive to help where help is needed. The DoGooder name stems from Romans 12:21 which says do not be overcome with evil, but overcome evil by doing good works.

Jennifer McDaniel
Board Member
My name is Jenn, and my pronouns are she/her. I’m a Charlotte transplant from West Virginia (and I am a proud Appalachian person). I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Marshall University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky. I take great pride in helping vulnerable people, and have been fortunate enough to make a career out of it.

Hi! My initial interest in becoming a Do-Gooder stems from attending the most recent Fashion Show. Observing the enthusiasm and support for the event in real-time was impressive. It's clear that being a Do-Gooder means bringing together an intersection of net positive in-roads. And interesting people. Also, I align with keeping a high level of humility. "Personal brand" does not have to live at the root of everything. Or most things. I'm simple. Can I form new friendships around important causes? Will I make the most of relocating to Charlotte by spending time with people who are improving the human experience? Can I be an element within The Do-Gooders overall mission of community improvement? Let's find out!
